It’s been a remarkable 100 days in office.
Some Notable achievements:
1.Improved staff welfare: Secured a Board approval for a management incentive for staff to cushion effects of Fuel subsidy removal. Also began the conversion of 3rd party contract staff to NDPHC direct hire across the Power Plants.
2. Enhanced Generation Outputs (MW): Improvements in O&M practices ensuring scheduled maintenance of GTs are completed timely restoring 2 Generating units in Calabar & Omotosho, making a total of 230MW added to the transmission grid capacity.
3. Assets recovery:
Recovered 110 containers Stranded at Onne port for 9 years by collaborating with the Nigeria Customs service to obtain a waiver on Import duties, demurrage and port levies; saving the company over 20 billion naira.4. Debt recovery:
Settled a long standing debt dispute with our cross border client CEET Togo, unlocking a monthly commitment towards settlement of their monthly invoices.5. Process optimization:
Identifying process gaps and deployment of strategic systems for bridging process gaps to drive organisational efficiency.6. Digitalisation:
Commenced the Procurement of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning Systems for effective planning and implementation of digitalised systems across all departments.7. Commercialisation of Stranded energy: Secured Board approval to sign 2 new Power Purchase Agreements PPAs for guaranteed off-take of 135MW. This aims to improve cash flow for the company.
