News SOCIETY WATCH following for you ; In a strategic meeting at the FIRS Headquarters, Executive Chairman Dr. Zacch Adedeji and Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa underscored the critical link between sustainable funding and national security. General Musa praised FIRS for bolstering the Armed Forces’ capacity and announced Nigeria will host the maiden African Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference from August 25–27, 2025, to shape the continent’s defense agenda.
Dr. Adedeji reaffirmed peace as a prerequisite for prosperity, celebrating Nigeria’s oil and gas revenue milestones achieved through improved stability in production zones. He highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s recent approval of 1,550 housing units for military personnel and pledged unwavering FIRS support for the upcoming continental summit.
