News SOCIETY WATCH following for you ; Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should expect political reciprocity from the people of Jigawa in the upcoming 2027 elections.
The governor made this statement during the official launch of the distribution of ATM cards to beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s second phase of the Cash Transfer program in Dutse.
Governor Namadi praised the Federal Government for its numerous poverty alleviation initiatives under the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), which include Cash Transfer, N-Power, School Feeding, and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP). He emphasized that these programs have significantly impacted the lives of the less privileged in Jigawa and across Nigeria.
Under the second phase of the Conditional Cash Transfer program, approximately twenty-three thousand underprivileged persons in Jigawa State will receive seventy-five thousand naira each, aimed at supporting their businesses and improving their livelihoods.
“The launch of the second phase aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Initiative,’ which is designed to uplift the less privileged in society,” Namadi stated.
He further emphasized the culture of gratitude among Jigawa citizens, stating, “Our people have a good culture of repaying good deeds with good. I am sure the people of Jigawa will pay you back for what you have been doing for them.”
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Governor Namadi expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and voiced confidence that additional initiatives will follow to further alleviate poverty and support economic growth in Jigawa State.
Reaffirming his commitment to fostering a strong relationship with the Federal Government, Namadi pledged to continue implementing policies that enhance the welfare of Jigawa citizens. He assured that his administration remains dedicated to national development efforts and to ensuring Jigawa State thrives under Tinubu’s leadership.
