The Centre for Wounded Servicemen and Fallen Heroes Supports Fund (CFWS&FHSF) Executive Secretary, Ezekiel Adi condemns, in the strongest terms, the heartbreaking abduction of innocent school children in Kebbi State and Niger State. This recurring cycle of violence against the most vulnerable in society is unacceptable, unjustifiable, and must end immediately.
These children are not bargaining tools.
They are not trophies of violence.
They are the future of our nation.
Many of the kidnapped children are the sons and daughters of our fallen heroes—brave men who paid the supreme price while defending Nigeria. Their fathers died so that others might live in peace. Today, those same children are being forced into fear and uncertainty.
You took their fathers from them.
Do not take their future too.
Enough is enough.
The Centre calls on the non-state actors behind these kidnappings to act with conscience and humanity by releasing these children without delay. No cause, no grievance, and no ideology justifies this cruelty. The eyes of the nation—and the judgement of history—are upon those who hold them captive.
Children deserve to learn.
Children deserve safety.
Children deserve to come home.
Ezekiel Adi, Centre’s Executive Secretary acknowledges and applauds the courage, discipline, and commitment of the security personnel presently engaged in rescue operations. These men and women, across the armed forces and other security agencies, are working tirelessly—day and night—to ensure the safe return of our children.
The Centre recognize their sacrifices.
We honour their bravery.
And we pray that heaven watches over them, guiding every step they take in this critical mission.
Nigeria must unite at this moment.
These children are our children. Their pain is our collective pain. Their freedom must be our collective priority.
The CFWS&FHSF calls on community leaders, religious institutions, civil society organisations, and all Nigerians to raise their voices in solidarity. Let the nation speak with one voice against this cruelty. Let compassion prevail over violence.
We reaffirm our commitment to supporting the families of wounded servicemen, the families of fallen heroes, and all Nigerians affected by insecurity. Together, we will continue to advocate for justice, peace, and the protection of every Nigerian child, He added.
