News SOCIETY WATCH gathers for you; BAT Vanguard, a leading and formidable Support Group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a release by the Organization, has condemned the ongoing strike action declared by NLC and TUC despite the ongoing negotiation and intervention of the National Assembly. It is unfortunate that the leadership of Organized Labour in the country are playing politics with the labour matters.
It is on record that labour leaders in the country supported Peter Obi in the last general elections. Having lost to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu both at the poll and in the court, they have not given up and trying all means possible to truncate and destabilize the government or how would one explain why these unpatriotic elements have to go to the extent of shutting down the national grid throwing the entire nation to darkness?
I therefore call on the government to wail the big stick and cut labour leaders to size before they cost more harm and damage to our democracy and nation.
The action of labour leaders is a coup against our democracy!
The government should stop deducting union dues from source to labour. Let the labour leaders find a way of collecting their union dues from their members.
The millions of naira that labour leaders are collecting as unions due every month, what are they doing with it? With all these monies, labour leaders do not have any transport system for their members. What a shame!Some of the labour leaders have three Hotels in Abuja, Mansions and other properties. It is high time the government started exposing the labour leaders so that people can know who they are, corrupt labour leaders.
If these unpatriotic elements know what is good for them, they should call off the strike and return to the negotiation table with the government and finalize the issue of the new minimum wage. Otherwise, they will regret their actions.
